Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Mrs N. Kerameus
Education is key for the protection of cultural heritage from climate change. Not only because –from a short term perspective– it can raise awareness on the effects of climate change on monuments and other sites of world heritage and help in shaping tools for confronting the symptoms. But also because it can create the conditions for tackling -longterm– the impacts of environmental degradation in all aspects of life on earth, by equipping the young generation with cutting edge technology, science, skills and ethos.
