Ambassador Ekaterini Loupas is the Coordinator of the Organization Committee of the International Conference on the impacts of climate change on cultural heritage.
She joined the Diplomatic Service in 1984 and served in several positions in the Embassies of Greece in Brussels, Prague, Pretoria, Oslo and in the Consulates General in New York and Geneva.  She was also the Head of the Greek Delegations to CSCE and UNCTAD, during  Greek Presidencies of the European Union.
As Secretary of Embassy, she dealt with Turkey, Cyprus, USA bilateral relations. As Ambassador, she assumed the duties of the Chief of Protocol and the Director for Cultural Affairs in the Foreign Ministry.
She has been member in the Governing Bodies of the European Cultural Centre in Delphi, the Hellenic Culture Centre and the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and post-Byzantine Studies in Venice, as well as honorary member in several Associations and Committees in New York, Geneva and Oslo.
She has long experience in the organization of many successful international events in the political, social, economic and cultural fields.
Since 2016, she is the Head of the Directorate of International Environmental Conferences and Climate Change at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
