Amalia Androulidaki is the Head of General Directorate for Restoration, Museums and Technical Works, Greek Ministry of Culture. She has a PhD in Monument Restoration from the University of Edinburgh. She entered the Greek Ministry of Culture in 1987 and, ever since, has dedicated her career to the protection and restoration of monuments (both modern and historic), archeological sites and cultural buildings.
Mrs. Androulidaki’s work today revolves around the study, supervision and restoration of monuments and cultural buildings in Greece. Her role is to coordinate and supervise the dependant Central and Regional Services working to protect these structures, as well as their surrounding environment and historical and archaeological sites.
